We all know how long the month of January can be.
After most of the workforce are paid early in December for Christmas shopping and seasonal holidays come into effect for many South Africans the depth of our pockets starts to get dramatically deeper.
However, since the president announced the hardening of lockdown regulations it has become evident that a fair share of the population has forcefully held back on spending due to the inability to enjoy many of the pass times, our country has to offer. (there goes my beach tan)
This once again, has given rise to the consistent growth of e-commerce.
Even during January, we are seeing an increase of well over 35% vs last year (this can be higher or lower depending on the product department) as the consumer continues to spend what could have been their 'holiday funds' on multiple new items for themselves, their homes, families and vehicles.
